We purchused another cover for the IPad and it didn't fit and was hard to get on. So we went on Amazon and found the Polyurethane Smart Cover MC939LL/A. It is great, when you cover the IPad it turns the IPad off and when you open the cover it is up and running. Great feature. Plus it props up the IPad on your lap and makes that easier. Highly recommend this product.

On the plus side, it's very thin and keeps from adding muck bulk to your iPad. The magnetic closure works well and the glass face is given moderate protection.
On the minus side, the cover isn't very sturdy. It sometimes comes off when flipping it over. Also, horizontal dust lines appear across the glass after a bit and have to be wiped off. This feature is unacceptable to me. Apple should have seen this coming and altered the design. Finally, as others noted, when stood in the higher position, the iPad is easily knocked over. Not good.
For forty bucks I expected a better product from Apple than this. And you still need to buy something to protect the back of the iPad. All in all you can do much better than this cover. I'm sorry I bought it. I bought a nice leather portfolio case from Luvitt that protects my iPad all around, and it provides multiple stable positions for viewing.........all for the same forty bucks.
